Hekla maybe? maybe not...

Ok, this time we are leaving Reykjavik, of course it took us some time to pack the car in the morning, the usual challenge, how to fit all that in one car... (camping gear, etc...), we ended up leaving the trailer behind and packing it all on the roof. We decided to head south on the road number 1 towards Hekla(1491m), one of the most famous and active volcano in Iceland. After a slow start we were getting closer to the big mountain, then the fun started, we got stopped by a river, then by bushes, then by one of the lava field who came down from Hekla some years ago, we were just a bit late, and touring in the middle of a lava field is definately not fast... we decide to head back down, we skied some nice snow in a beautifull light, slaloming betwwen the strange looking frozen lava.
We are on the road, as I write these words, on our way to the Skaftafell national Park, but snow is forecasted so we'll see what happens.

Packing the car, of course it will fit in...

Pier still on his way to Hekla, still motivated at that time...

Pier slowly getting lost in the lava field, not fast...

The team might change its mind... back down?
